Our goal is two-fold: to train children in dramatic skills as a study in traditional Georgian theater and to work with children to explore themselves and life around them through the medium of acting exercises and recitation of Georgian poetry, taking dramatic roles and working with other children.
Classes are taught in a group with a lot of individual attention and group interaction. Classes include speech exercises and classic poems, discussions about meaning and context, stage movement, work with Georgian folk dramas and preparation for performance. We plan two staged performances each year of traditional Georgian plays as well as events in our studio and community celebrations.
We are a growing community sharing a common interest in Georgian culture, immigrant life and the practice and enjoyment of the best of art and culture. If you would like to become involved or simply learn more, you are most welcome to visit, email, phone or write.
We can converse in English, Georgian and Russian.
